  We commend the members of our “It’s Academic” teams who competed in March at LaSalle High School. Members of our Eighth Grade “It’s Academic” team were: Brandon E., Eva G., Jack M., Erin McB., Austin T., and Clay W.  Seventh Grade team participants were: Jimmy B., Laura B., Mandy H., Andy J., Caroline M. and Aaron W. Mrs. Dieckman and Mrs. Gilligan coached both teams.  We salute their competitive spirit and how well they represented our school to the community.

   Report cards will go home on April 10.  During the month of April we ask all to pray for our First Communicants as they make final preparations for First Communion on April 27 at 11:30 a.m. mass.

  St. Martin’s students will have available to them a free dental program.  This program will help stop tooth decay.  A dentist will examine the child’s teeth and decide which teeth need to be treated.  Those teeth will be coated with a plastic sealant which will seal out food and decay. This program will be April 18-23. Parents will be sent a permission form to sign for each child participating.

Prayer for Our Children

Jesus, you asked for the little children to be brought to you:

so we bring our children to you in prayer.

We ask you to Bless them to make them strong and healthy.

Fill them with your grace and with your love.

Stay with them as they grow to maturity and help them to learn the virtues of

kindness, humility, peace, patience, love, wisdom, and understanding.

May we as their parents and teachers be good examples for them;

Let their friendships be good and valuable;

let their knowledge and love for you continue to grow day by day.

Grant them a happy life-now, and in eternity.  Amen.
